Who we are
Oli is operated by Northstar Project Management Services FZCO, registered in IFZA, Dubai, UAE. When we say “Oli,” “we,” or “us,” we mean Northstar Project Management Services FZCO.
What we collect
- Account information — your email address and name, provided when you sign up.
- Children's profiles — name, age, interests, and languages, entered by parents or guardians.
- Usage data — analytics and error logs to help us understand how Oli is used and fix problems.
- Payment information — subscription payments are handled by Stripe. We never store your card details.
Why we collect it

- To communicate with you about your account, updates, and new features
AI services
To generate stories, we send children's profile data (name, age, interests, languages) to third-party AI services. This data is used solely for story generation — we don't share it for advertising or other purposes.

We use third-party services for hosting, analytics, and AI story generation.
Analytics
We use analytics to understand how Oli is used — which features help families and where the product gets confusing. Our main analytics tool is privacy-first and hosted in the EU: it captures anonymous events (e.g. “a story was played”), doesn't store your IP address, respects your browser's Do Not Track setting, and has session recording and automatic click tracking switched off. We also use Google Analytics. No personal details — names, emails, children's profiles, or story text — are ever included in our analytics.
Children's data
We take children's privacy seriously. Oli accounts are intended for parents and guardians — children should not create their own accounts. Only parents and guardians should create and manage child profiles. By creating a child profile, you consent to our collection and processing of that data for story generation.
We don't sell children's data. We don't use it for advertising. It exists only to generate stories your family has requested. You can delete your child's profile and all associated data at any time.
Data storage & transfers
Your data may be stored and processed in the United States or the European Union. Where data crosses borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards to keep it protected.
Cookies
Most of the cookies we use are ordinary. Essential cookies keep you signed in and remember your preferences, like keeping the side panel open. Our analytics cookies store anonymous visitor IDs, scoped to the oli.family domain so they work across both the marketing site and the app, and hold no directly identifying details like your name or email. These analytics cookies aren't part of the consent-banner choice; you can manage them through your browser settings.
For advertising, we use the Meta pixel to measure how our ads perform and help more families discover Oli. In the EU, UK, and EEA these advertising cookies load only if you accept them in our consent banner; elsewhere they load by default.
Your rights
You can request to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. This includes your children's profile data. Email us at privacy@oli.family and we'll respond within 30 days.
Data retention
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to provide the service. When you delete your account or a child's profile, we remove the associated data from our systems. Generated stories may be retained in backups for a limited period before being permanently deleted.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
