Who we are
Oli is operated by Northstar Project Management Services FZCO, registered in IFZA, Dubai, UAE. When we say “Oli,” “we,” or “us,” we mean Northstar Project Management Services FZCO.
What we collect
- Account information — your email address and name, provided when you sign up.
- Children's profiles — name, age, interests, and languages, entered by parents or guardians.
- Usage data — analytics and error logs to help us understand how Oli is used and fix problems.
- Payment information — when paid features are available, payments are handled by Stripe. We never store your card details.
Why we collect it
- To generate personalized stories for your children
- To improve the service and fix issues
- To communicate with you about your account, updates, and new features
AI services
To generate stories, we send children's profile data (name, age, interests, languages) to third-party AI services. This data is used solely for story generation — we don't share it for advertising or other purposes.
Third-party services
We use third-party services for hosting, analytics, and AI story generation.
Children's data
We take children's privacy seriously. Oli accounts are intended for parents and guardians — children should not create their own accounts. Only parents and guardians should create and manage child profiles. By creating a child profile, you consent to our collection and processing of that data for story generation.
We don't sell children's data. We don't use it for advertising. It exists only to generate stories your family has requested. You can delete your child's profile and all associated data at any time.
Data storage & transfers
Your data may be stored and processed in the United States or European Union. By using Oli, you consent to these transfers.
Cookies
We use cookies for authentication sessions. Google Analytics sets additional cookies for website analytics — you can manage these through your browser settings.
Your rights
You can request to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. This includes your children's profile data. Email us at privacy@oli.family and we'll respond within 30 days.
Data retention
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to provide the service. When you delete your account or a child's profile, we remove the associated data from our systems. Generated stories may be retained in backups for a limited period before being permanently deleted.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
